I found out today that my favourite race of the european inline season has died a natural death. Due to lack of sponsrship, the difficulties involved in organising such a long race and dwindling numbers (this year still had over 1,000 entrants but it wasn't enough) this 12 year old classic through Kanton St Gallen will not be run in 2010.

Within 4 weeks of making the Bont FB Skate page, we already have over 2000 fans. This Bont board has been getting a little stale and I think the new discussion board will inject some new life into discussions.

I'm looking to get back into speedskating and I've picked up some old Bont Sharkey boots that I want to heat mould. I've done a search on the forum but couldn't find any specifics about older boots, could anyone point me in the right direction as far as heat settings and time in the oven? I can imagine the proces being different from the latest models?

I have been cross training with running since I want to skate and also be also be able to run half marathons in the future, well my hard training have left me with this huge blister on the base of my left foot. This foot is actually shorter than my right one so I wonder if that's got to do anything with it.

I wonder how you guys deal with blisters and should I stop training until is healed?
