I have put together a video of the mens Marathon from bits and pieces from here and there. If you click on the "epanding" button on the lower left the picture becomes bigger.
With womens marathon I have very little video but will try to put it together with more photos.

Maaate....Sagg has got to get a better lunge than that "wet noodle" one! Looks like Yan got him on the line today and Joey got him at worlds and I remember another wic race last year when we were discussing it!

(I still have no lunge at all).

Hi Gianni,

Basically you were either at the Village or the finish for Photo's, In the men Nicolas Iten was apparently the first to the top of Pontrasena, Then 6km. km to go Him & Scott Arlidge had a 200 meter gap, they were caught then shortly after Iten got away with fellow Swiss severin Widmer & went 1 & 2, For the 2nd race in a row Guyader done Saggiorattoin the sprint & Ben Alchin N.Z. a big suprise in the sprint for the 3rd place, While Mantia...

Here's an interesting fact....looks like the Colombian and Venezuelan boys like going up hills better than down.
First one home was Andres in 12th

Yep thats him.....scoring some frre food. He is only here on holiday.
10 mins to start time and the first skaters will be here 15--20mins after that.
Hopefully Bill will call us from the finish line with the results as it happens....

Update in Engadin,
Well things have quietened down in the village as the last bus is about to depart for the start line. The skaters will have a fair tail wind so could be a fast race again. The weather is still sunny with a few clouds overhead and no sign of rain. I will be at the halfway point and will give you an update if there is a strong breakaway but it will be neutrilised on the steep hill after the village to hopefully avoid a nasty crash like in Weinfelden. Well its just me and the cows this morning as their bells woke me up so I thought I would share a few thoughts from Engadin. Last night we had a smal BBQ party with the Kiwi winner from last year and a fill them with some good home cooking.

This morning the village is a bit of a ghost town so lets hope the party will be jumping tonight.

I rekon it might be Stefano Galliazzo, he's been hovering around the pointy end in a few races and he got 4th in Engadine last year.
Any bets?
