Can someone clarify something for me....
...I understand the World Games takes the top 30 athletes (27 once the host nation has had their input) from the World Championships after gathering points from their best 3 performances. However, if you are a top 3 sprinter, like say, Wouter Hebbrecht, who only skates 2 distances - ie. 200/300m and 500m, then it is highly unlikely that you will qualify (?) Similarly if you are a long distance specialist and only skate the 2 x points and elimination races you will be in the same position - unless of course, you become World Champion where I believe this first takes precedence. Therefore, you could potentially be a regular top 20 skater in three events and make the cut for the World Games over and above a double world medallist who competed in just two? Do I read that right?
