OldKiwi: Mate that sounds like a good idea, I can see it would work - maybe some local operator/skater can act as agent for the sponsor deal and take 10 or 20% as finders fee.

Doon : That sounds like a great deal, $200hkd is only $25 Us Dollars! Very cheap flights to Hong Kong and if someone wants to stay a bit longer, many
inexpensive guest houses there , cheap food, and very cheap plane flights to other destinations in Asia.

Hi Ultra
Yes, it is a big deal, we have work so hard to find more sponsor to help us to make things happen In this event our main aim is create "a great party" for skaters Blocking a road in Hong Kong to held a road race is very hard and nearly impossible for this sport, after many months discussion with government, plenty of meetings every weeks, and now we finally make it happen, so we want to make the event as perfect as possible. Everyone knows we cannot earn any money for this race and at the same time we are paying a lot for this, but we still willing to do so because we all love skating, so i can say this is a event for people who love skating. Me and the whole Check sport are willing to work for the skaters.... i have forget to put up the information of the hotel The official hotel is empire hotel causeway bay LINK HERE |

Begg AIC Double in Hong Kong. | ||
|
Hi All,
The last Asianic Inline cup of the year was held Chai Wan District Hong Kong Island this morning, on a rough demanding & very Technical 1.5 km track, as some commented, just as well it was only 10 nlaps & 15 km. But to get anywhere closed off in Down Town Hong Kong anywhere on the National Day Holiday was a big mission. But a big effort from Joe & Doon Yuen & Checker Sport to arrange & conduct the event, a tired Doon from many sleepless nights, gradually worked his way up to 6th in the race. Wayne Begg Checker Sport Bont New Zealand won the mens & Nicole Begg Checker Sport Bont New Zealand the ladies race. In a suprise Move Wayne Begg not having skated for five weeks & first time on new boots, picked up the early pace & only 5 were left in the Leading group, Kim Bum Sik (Tiger ) from Micro Korea, Daniel Chee Wee Team Revo Singapore, Udagawa Kazuya Kazamaki Shankel team Japan & Nicole Begg New Zealand. Apart from a brief lull, when 3 or 4 South African Skaters caught up, Nicole Begg took over most the attacks & breakaways keeping a hard pace on the rough 1.5 km course, with most the field being lapped, it created some confusion at the finish, as if after the first several skaters, the others were 1 lap or 2 laps behind. So the 3rd position is the only one not verified at present & video replay has been called to varify. LADIES RESULTS. 1/ Nicole Begg Bont Checker Sport - New Zealand. 2/ Kim Aimes Bont - U.S.A. 3/ Mok Chi Ling Bont Checker Sport - Hong Kong. 4/ Suen Yee Ting Bont Checker Sport - Hong Kong. 5/ Tumelo Moteme - National Team South Africa. MENS RESULTS 1/ Wayne Begg Bont Checker Sport - New Zealand. 2/ Kim Bum Sik ( Tiger) Micro Ex-Tech - Korea. 3/Tshepo Modikwe - National Team South Africa ( Yet to be confirmed ) 4/ Daniel Chee Wee Team Revo - Singapore ( Could be Third ) 5/ Udagawa Kazuya - team Kazamaki Schankel - Japan. Hi All,
We just finished a great AIC promotion in Kong Kong, where the Local council have requested that they want us to have two events next year in their district, where they will offer a lot more co-operation in future, they are allready listed for 3/4 April & 1st October 2010, the Chinese National Holiday. Our trial start with the Asianic Inline Cup had a trial season with 5 events, Singapore x 2, Malaysia, Hong Kong & China, with the WIC Incheon event points counting, if they competed in other Asianic Inline Cup races, at short notice the concept got underway, as well as could be expected, with the overall results listed below, with a total of 19 different countries represented, 9 from Asia, 2 from Oceania, 6 from Europe, plus USA & South Africa. We had talks with CIC president Roberto Marotta in Shanghai & Haining & he agreed that the AIC concept developing the sport, would be accorded the same conditions that Coni was given when starting up the WIC. He advised us that we had to work alongside fellow federations, which we have done wherever possible & had personally spoken to Hong Kong Federation Officials & Macau, as they had had issues. Unfortunately the Hong Kong officials choose to send a letter out to everyone of there skaters, advising them they could not compete in the AIC event, this is not developing & promoting the sport & its a sad situation, when numbers of there skaters who wished to compete, were at the start line as spectators. Hong Kong Federation chose to send a big team to a recent Chinese Club event, yet when they have a top International events in their own backyard, they ban their skaters from partaking.? With our International Coaching Academy, we will help sponsor the CIC with a fee from each accreditation, as we all understand that lack of Financial backing, was one of the major downfalls in our Olympic Bid, so every assistance possible will help. Also Roberto was very interested that career paths can be created for coaches, so our plans to have taught & accredited another 2,000 coaches, at a very high level throughout Asia within the next 3 years, falls nicely into line with the CIC objectives, so we are in a position to work along side of them, in our mission to help develope the Asia & Oceania areas.
