They don't call it "The Classic" for no reason. For over 30 years, thats right, count them, since the 1978-1979 season, the Tampa Classic has been a staple of the skating season! Bringing in one of the largest draws of pros from AROUND THE WORLD to participate in each Tampa Classic, this years Tampa Classic is sure to follow suit, with commitments from many countries like Colombia, New Zealand, France, Costa Rica, and many more, you can be sure that there is absolutely no other meet that has that type of draw or tenure in the skating year Indoor and Outdoor. WE will be announcing our sponsors in the coming weeks and I am sure that there will be some surprises and some excitement as we advance the sport and bring in the sparks that we need. Look for an expanded outdoor schedule as well as the ever famous 100 lap senior mens open and other division opens where the money will be one of the highest payouts in the USA. This year we will be hosting a 3 days clinic prior to the Tampa Classic sponsored by the INLINE RACING INSTITUTE with world champion and Colombian Legend Jorge Botero. These clinics are taking off all through Latin America and will be in Tampa . The clinic will only accept the first 30 applications so make your plans now. Also look for special guest demonstrators at the clinics as well.
The Tampa Classic is going to be a record setter this year for sure. If you are planning, be sure to consider if you are planning on going to Outdoor Nationals,or even WORLD INLINE CUP, this is your best tune up, if you are skating indoors as well, this is the highest level of competition under one roof, with Skaters coming from all parts of the world to try their hand at the indoor venture.
