Yes there needs to be something for the gathering of the Masters, its known as the Masters Games, World Titles should be reserved for World champions.

World masters games what + 35, + 45 & plus 55, not like my Crippled brother Bruce in Timaru over 55 & having to race 30 year olds.

THe last year with the supposed World Marathon champs in Zurich, swiped away to some exotic place in Italy for political gain, as we wanted a World masters back then, as a diummy run for the Worlds that were not to be.

The Ideal was a 20 Km road race at Weinfelden while the WIC was on.

Then Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday the Bank track, with plenty of Amber fluid to be taken after events & the eating tents full on, but it was not to be.
Then the full Marathon at Zurich on the Sunday, a week to wet any masters appetite.

A bit of advice masters the CIC can not reply to Emails............... The WIC organization, the South African People, not untill the missing Ferreria went there on a Vote hunting mission, then after 2 or 3 years of no communication, 3 telephone calls in 2 days from the boys in Rome, they do not Listen to Taiwan also, everyone around the World is complaining & we have had a gutfull of this inadequate administration.

On a $100,000 Budjet a year you can do nothing World wide, not even hire a key board puncher by the sounds of things. %$!# even with one finger I can reply to my emails, yet our sport continues to support once a year shopping trips.

Marcello got virtually thrown out of a meetting for trying to support Nigeria, as no one else in Authority was, But it was over a politically appointed official over the last 10 years, Also on the gravy train for the World games, get real & get Fisher in there, not pretenders, who keep there breath sweet with chewing Gum in case the masters come by with the usual wink & a Nod.

If thats the Prime requirement for our sport for god sake get Marcello the Argentine Caballo, Italian Stallion & Terneriffe terror in as president of the masters movement, he has a score record a lot higher than our present lot, who are my vintage & probably looking for the big V dose by now.

Oh yes we had the same the previous 10 years also!. But dear Bill had the guts to stand up & ordered her out of a CIC meetting in Italy, while the other members shat themselves & that was Bill the skaters advocate first & last 4 year term in the CIC.

Then we had South Africa highly embarrassed, they do not even pay lip service to them after many requests & set up a stogue from a non participating speed nation to look after Africa.

Yes the 1 race mob who took photo's of themselves on the dias & presented their own medals, while down in Soyth Africa & yet they Bundled all the little African skaters to the front of the photo at Worlds for political gain, sorry guys get in there like me & get your hands dirty with looking at skating, not having your hands Dirted in other ways.

Look at our track record & check the files, not the skating ones, of Sabatino Aracu, The Late Molina from Argentina, Ferreria from Colombia, its quite obvious why we go backwards instead of forwards. THese are, or were the big power brokers of our wonderfull sport, you do not have to be mandrake the magican to work out the common denominater & where to check their files.

Yes guys a World Speed skating masters game gathering every year, exotic places Nice Holiday & great racing, plus the social aspect, its long overdue, the masters is where the money is & they spend it & in many countries there are more masters than other grades, this sport needs rejuvinated before it dies in the Butt & we need to cater for everyone.

Do you give the CIC one more chance to try & get it right or the Masters just get on with it & prove to be bigger & better, when Rob & Sab put on there skates & line up with Masters President Marcello's group, then you know you will have come of age, but of course Marcello has a harum there not just the odd female official, so there could be many interested ones make it to Teneriffe.

Forget any tounge in Cheek stuff I am all for it & off season & a go cxart track to get around on, lets go for it, thats what the masters want & need.

But Marcello ship it in now, if past masters games in New Zealand for general sports are anything to go buy they drank the town clean out of beer.

I really asdmire the guy, he is fighting in the trenches, with a fixed baonet & no Gunpowder whatsoever & a qoute by Sir Winston Churchill, one of my 3 inspiration charcters I followed in life, along with Cassius Clay & Nelson Mandella, you " NEVER, NEVER, NEVER give up"!

Yes I would even go down to Tereriffe & shout him a beer, if he is hard up I might buy him a plane ticket cheap through Marcello's travel company, as he really has kept us all amused.

I may be a bit different than most, but I do respect fighters, more than those who lay down in a corner & cower like a mongrel dog.
