I'm looking forward to the first stage of the Le Tour. Whats your prediction.
I think this year is going to be one of the best and possibly unpredictable, quite a few up and coming riders, with a few dark horses, a little "aussie" who could suprise us all, and a "legend" who can't make up his mind.
The first stage is gunna be a real GC's ride and u should see the top 10 sort its self out real quick.
I'm excited, whats your take on it guys.
Cadel might be outgunned but i this years course is real different, his still quitely confident. Contador is a definite chance, but i think perhaps a Schleck brother (Andy) might spoil things.

It is an especially exciting tour for us because Bont will have 15 riders in the peleton with Bont shoes on. We will also launch a special new shoe in the tour.

Columbia have a team of superstars and will be very hard to beat for stage wins. Cavendish is riding great. For the overall, Astana has Armstrong, Contador and Leipheimer who could all win it. I agree, Saxo Bank will be good to watch as well.

What is the point of working your arse off for the most important race in your life when it is a team effort. Did someone forget to tell Cadel its not mountain biking but road racing. Australia needs its own team next year!
I'm still hoping Cadel can hit them more than once in the hills and make up time.

Sadly for you Aussies, Cadel has IMO just too many heavyweight contenders this year. I loved Voeckler's win yesterday, although I was rooting for the Cav express.

Interm. team balance Tour the France

After a week Tour de France it seems the performance of teams first timers is fresh end liked by the 'Tour Org.'. Who has performed well and who is the joke of the Tour?
The top as expected at the top. The French as a good semi-top, which is surprising!

1. Astana 9
+ Took charge right away in the prologue. Contador, Leipheimer, Kloden en Armstrong in de top 10.
+ In the 3rd stage Armstrong knew a sly way back to tackle the rest of the favorites gaining 40 sec..

+ The team time trial win as expected.
+ Contador is 21 seconds on the favorites in the first mountain stage.
+ The team has little to work only keep the pace.

- Not a yellow jersey yet.
- How long to keep Armstrong and Contador doggo? When this dormant volcano burst out?
- Mountain shows the first loyal cracks.

2. Columbia-HTC 8,5
+ Stage wins and green jersey for the Caveman!
+ Martin remains strong and in the white.
+ Demonstrating how to ride in the wind.

- Team Kaptain Kirchen not in top condition.
- Rogers and Hincapie too old?
- Disappointing in TTT.
- Martin best man in the rankings when will he fall through the basket?

3. SaxoBank 8
+ Cancellara a one off class in his element, time trial. Stage gains and a small yellow jersey week.
+ Stages along the pack in tow with.

- Frank Schleck moderate Tour start. The team has not been very present, perhaps because they had a shirt deal.
- Andy Schleck has already huge backlog on Bertie Contador.
- a little coward in the mountains.

+ Farrar after a good Giro in the Tour again the closest challenger to Cavman.

- Dean, Pate (attention boy!) And Farrar had some better driving in the TTT. Then that was a profit stage a shame couse that is your specialty. You drive it by 9, not 5!
- Many good performances, yet still no tangible prize.

6.Agritubel 7
+ Beetles jersey with Brice Feillu. No longer the little brother of.
+ Brother Romain some times seen in the front with the sprints top 10.

- Only Bouet was in the front, other riders we have not yet seen.
- and Le Lay and Gonzalo al 2 were fresh but no show.

7.Cérvelo 7

+ Stage win with Hushovd and green sweater at the moment.
+ Sastre is invisible, but hopes he knows what he is doing although this year is a whole different ball game.

- Have not seen Haussler? The dominator of the spring season
- Where are the other riders of the team?

8.Ag2r-La Mondiale 7

+ Yellow jersey with Nocentini at the moment.
+ Riblon good climbs, and that as their 9th picked rider.
+ Leader + in the team rankings.
+ Mondory nice sprints top 10, Irish laddy Roche the son off isalert.
+ Nice new outfit.

- Dessel in the 2nd stage in a "loser-break away"on the flat?
- Vladje Efimkin got surprised in stage 8.
- Team is not strong enough to defend the yellow coming week
- A stage victory and the this far Tour is perfect for these guys.

9. Caisse d'Epargne 7

+ Foxy L.Louis Sanches arrested again his stage win. His ranking is reasonable. Consolidate now or still a 2nd stage win?
+ Rojas better after his long illness. Drove beautiful sprints. Good front in the mountain stages.
+ Best at the first interm. crono "1st point in the TTT".

- Outside Sanchez Friday invisible in the mountains. Without his masterpiece only a 4.
- Is this the successor of Banesto? Valverde (Valvie) is missed.
- Uran is doomed to be the servants for Contador in the Spanish armada against the Yankee?
- Pereiro(TdF winner 2006) is already home.

10.Skil 6,5

+ More pictured than expected (new team) sponsor of the old days.
+ Were Good + in the wind ,Timmer missed small chance of stage win.
+ The short Lemoine top 10 place, compliments of Prudhomme!
+ Van Hummel maintains in the mountains, the red lantern.

- Time trial and climbing is not their thing! In recent days not seen.
- One rider lost due to a crash TTT - Rooijakkers.

11.Milram 6,5
+ Ciolek is part of the better sprinters.
+ Velits looks good and may be become a big one.
+ Nice work Fröhlinger attack.

- Gerdemann again disappointed in the mountains.
- Wegmann again to little to late.
- What is going on with dare devil Fothen?
- Knees slightly less in the break aways than before.

12.Euskaltel 6

+ Have been seen in many of the break-aways. There always in the attack.
+ Martinez current wearer of the beetle jersey.

- The boys Txurukka, Anton Martinez, Verdugo: all potential stage winners ... when?
- Tactical stupid.
- Astarloza lost much unnecessary time.
- Anton disappointing.
- Fernandez no super sprints and outside stage 8

13.Cofidis 5

+ Were represented in many break-aways . Auge and Key with balls.

- Poor sprints of Duque must have a word with our ****** amigo

14.Francaise des Jeux 5

+ Spheres of Veikkanen. A Fin is saving the French honor.
+ Casar nipping just not good enough.

- 2 in a break away of 6 and still not win it. And that with 2 sprinters!
- Joly (understandable) is already at home > poor judgement of the team management.
- Can Le Mevel still turn things around?

15.Silence-Lotto 4,5

+ Evans is back, and that's quite good after last year, he is trying hard.
+ Van de Broucke 2 isa also good in the mountains.

- Where is his team? This 4.5 for Evans, Silence gets a 2.

+ Mensjov the Russian tsaar is getting butchered. He should have done some racing between the Giro and Tour.
+ Freire now back at the front in the sprints.

- The most expensive cycling team in the world is helpless and can't do a $hit.
- Where are the Dutch !!!
- Mensjov and his prologue.
- Cancellation (abandon) Gesink.
- Freire can't finish it cause of the junior team taktics

18.Quickstep 3,5
+ Pineau attacks remains fun, best racer of the team.
+ Boonen is very good a man to wtch week 3

- Devolder and rankings .. hahahaha.
- Boonen, the soap to get started, then diarrhea, then falls.
- Vandewalle already home.
- Chavanel not as super as in the spring.

19.Katusha 3

+ OK: Napolitano, Ivanov and Pozzato then.
+ And Botcharov & Vandenbergh cause it's such a nice duo.

- Total invisible not price driven. Looks again you can not buy a team!
- Napolitano came to late in the 9th stage. LMO boys!

20.Lampre-N.G.C. 2

+ Furlan once seen in the sprint, Ballan did nice in Barcelona.

- Not a ProTour team worthy Lampre? After a disappointing Giro bad again in the Tour.
- The donkey Brusegin not good enough to climb.
- Furlan is no top printer.
- Should a 30-year Polish save the Lamopre furniture in a escape?
