The original USA 200m banked skating track is back in business! Renamed as International Inline Complex, this is the only USA facility totally dedicated to outdoor inline speedskating, and the only one open daily. It was the primary world team training site and has been the scene of major speedskating events. It will be the site of clinics/camps, and one or more meets, this year. Projected opening date for public skating is May 1, 2010.
This parabolic oval, in Couderay, WI, has been purchased by Stacy Akana, Coach of Team X, and is being renovated, including new track sidewalls and resurfacing of the 500 meter road course with an optional dogleg, to meet world championship standards. This facility is now headquarters for Team X, offering training with facilities and trainers available full time.
This skating resort includes new camping facilities. Skaters and families can use this resort as a base for surrounding activities, including some of the best freshwater fishing in the USA, a casino 20 miles away, many restaurants, and other northwoods fun.
As part of renovation, prime promotional opportunities are now available to vendors and supporters of speedskating, including wallboard advertizing space. Contact Stacy for specifics. Similarly, there are many opportunities for skaters and families to be part of the renovation process, both for the pride of being part of building this skate resort, and for credits for future skating and other resort activities.
