Hey I remember at Canada Nationals in 1994 when Barry Publow tackels Eddy Metzger in final of 500 in Ottawa! Very fun viewing.

Email me and I'll email back a list. I've got various footage of most worlds and euros from 1975 up to 2006. Oh...and my most memorable bit of Perth was the sparks off Downings skates as Presti pinned him to the barrier in the final straight. (Not sure if it's on the video but I also seem to remember watching Vicki King leave her chin on the road! Not pleasant to witness...and I'm glad to say she recovered well!) Fry Junior |

I'll see what I can do. I have all of the mentioned incidence on video (some official tapes, some my dodgy home video) but much of it is very poor quality now as I have watched them hundreds of times and copied them just as many! I'd be happy to run a copy off for you though, or try to put some of the good stuff on DVD. Contact me at jeffskates@hotmail.com and send me your details. All I would require in return is for you to have a good laugh and perhaps share the fun with whoever else from the skating world might like to see some of the action. Ben - youtube is a great idea! But converting some of the old vids is a bit dodgy. some parts of the footage now flick in and out of black and white due to replicating the tapes so many times. But in true Kiwi tradition - 'I'll give it a stab'. J |
