Jana¡¯s time of 15 mins 37.080 sec. took almost a full minute off Sheila Herrero from Spain's old record of 16.36.140 sec. In a close and extremely fast race Jana Gegner won the final sprint to take the victory over Elma de Vries (NEL) and Nele Armee (BEL). Jana broke the world record on Bont¡¯s new 3 point Vaypor boots with magnesium S-frame. alx

Also Jana Gegner, new 10,000 road record & Elma Devries 2nd & Nele Armee 3rd, all on 3 mounts & on the road, so 3 of the 24 starters on 3 mounts, 3 on the podium, a nice result for Bont. I will not comment on your coaches view!, but auctual happenings. Bill

I think you'd loose wheel edge, because the wheel would be at such a great angle, before your boot would contact the floor.

The 3 mount system benefit isn't in the lowness, but in that it's an incredibly stiff frame/boot interface that gets you as low as possible. The limiter in height is the 2nd 100mm wheel, not the frame or boot, and the problem until recently was to find a good boot and frame combination that got you as low as possible. The 3 mount does that easily since it's a well designed combination, and is also extremely stiff. I so like my 3 mounts, I'd buy another set tomorrow if my boots were damaged/stolen/something horrible happened to them.
