Hi Alexander!
Do you remember me? we spoke together around the "clap" concept (two years ago). Who was right? Instead now, there is not need to speak, to look this pic is enough : Cheers Gengis |

prototipi | ||
|
No mattia,
Non va bene in nessun posto perche' i pattini sono ingovernabili. Il prototipo non va bene poiche' quando il pattino e' inclinato flettono troppo la ruote. Ciao Gengis |

Re: prototipi | ||

gengiskhan,
Sorry i can't remember the clap skate conversation but just because they haven't come back for 2 years doesn't mean they won't come back. Why is the frame on its side in your picture? It is meant for maximum speed downhill skating as i mentioned to madroller. No corners. alx |

... prototipi | ||

O.K Alexander but...... I have exaggerated for understand to you!
If everybody the wheels don't contemporarily touch in earth (and this is impossible), the PVC flexes too much and the skate becomes uncontrollable. Well it is better then to put all the wheels in line.No corners. the clap skate conversation (1/2/04) : p196.ezboard.com/fbontska...=385.topic Ciao! gengiskhan |

Quote: Alex....have you seen the same patent(s) I have that one of your competitors has for a clap frame that has not (or did not) made it to the market place? I can dig up the patent numbers...I noted them somewhere. CG |

s Frame 3 mount blocks | ||
|
Hi Mattia,
Once again the prototype S frame & 3 mount boots prove themselves in competition. So the 4th much improved version, of prototype 1 & 2 plates being used at present, should gain even more benefits. For sure this set up, will be very popular in 2006, with skaters looking for top end advantages. Cheers Bill |

Re: .... | ||

Gengis,
Since the wheels are not directly next to each other, the drawing of the wheels touching is very unlikely. The wheel would have to deform for about 45 degrees for any interference to occur. So looking from the front it looks like the wheels would touch,but in reality the wheels have quite a bit of room for deformation and deflection. Mike |

Re: .... | ||

llahekim, I agree with you. I just wanted to add that if this frame was built then I suppose it would have specially designed wheels with larger and stronger hubs to avoid bending!
|

Re: .... | ||
|
gengiskhan, try to bend your own wheel for just 1 or 2 mm and you will find it very difficult to bend the wheel, because of the hard rubber! I understand that the 7 wheel frame has only one-sided wheels, but I suppose bending your own wheel would be a great example.

Re: .... | ||

I had a simmilar idea.
But i thought of normal (but narrow) wheels, and a canting mechanism. The canting mechanism ensures that booth wheel lines were always on the ground. This can be achived with two teeter-totter. The two teeter-totter were on top of each other. On each side a wheel line is fixed. Seen from the front it looks like this: /--/ /--/ So you get extra grip, roll and weight. Maybe i workes for downhill. |

Here is a quote of the title of a book i brought in the US from barnes & noble:
"To Engineer is Human" Here the beginning of a frame i put together between 3:45am - 4:20am. Thats after going CIC website to read the regs on skates, couldn't remember the limits. Heres a couple of images: ![]() ![]() ![]() These will never be made, just for show... or finished (well maybe) |
