Dear Inline Skaters and Skating Supporters,
Unbelievably, the Send the Best to Worlds project has been operational for 9 months. As we approach the end of 2005, we can reflect on major successes inside and outside our project and many opportunities waiting in 2006.
We, all of us together, have raised much money to help the USA world team; more significantly, we have awakened a desire for grass-roots support in skating, and the realization that there are numerous ways support can be generated across the USA, as well as in our own hometown. Think back¡¦2005 Speed Skating calendars, World Team trading cards, autograph sessions, Hometown Heros¢â, raffles, golf outings, and the list goes on and on. Truly amazing! Even more amazing is our ability to work together, across the United States and elsewhere, toward a common goal – grow and publicize inline skating!
During these past months, we have learned many things, one of which is to dream big and then dream bigger. So SEND THE BEST will continue as a supporter of the USA World Team as well as a mouthpiece for promoting the sport of inline skating in 2006 and beyond. Many more details will follow about how we intend to celebrate the New Year by supporting inline skating at WWW.SENDTHEBEST.ORG! In the meantime, we wish everyone Happy Holidays and look forward to partnering with more of you in 2006!
