Hi Edwin,
Dane Lewis is another Bullet, he was very fast in Korea also. At one time the partner of Jessica Smith, he used to compete alone in the WIC events, I can remember him finishing 6th I think in the Engadine / St. Moritz race, but unfortunately limited appearances at the World Championships,but certainly a very good skater when he fronted, so a deserving award for someone who has stuck around for a long time. He was, but I can't remember the time, it looks like Mario Valencia from Colombia may has pulled out his USA passport, as I did not see his name in the Colombian trials. Bill |

Joey did an inverted superman dive on practice day( according to reports), so a 2nd and a "messy" 1st is pretty good for a guy with a scabby back.
A good day for Northern California, with Dane and Sara (Wouters wife) both winning the TT's, and Sara alsowinning the 1000. Dane won the San Francisco marathon last year, but was a no show this year...perhaps concentrating on the sprints???? We'll see when they skate the longer distance I guess. cheers johnny |
