Who won Engadine St Moritz in a Breakaway, who last year won The Big Seoul & Berlin events in a Breakaway ? well if you do not Know it was the same NICOLAS ITEN.
The Rollerblade MPC skater obviously has a very high, Fitness, Durability & pain level thesholds.
But whats important in my book is " WHO DESERVED TO WIN ST.MORITZ / ENGADINE VALLEY RACE" ? I will tell you, the same NICOLAS ITEN!
He lead up Pontrasena, he was in a breakaway with Scott Arlidge 6 km from Home, Dragged back to the group & virtually straight away had the determination & Intestional Fortitude to go again & this time with fellow young Swiss star Severin Widmer following up his good 5th in Rennes, to go 1 & 2, Swiss Coach Johnny Dietham who can produce the tough guys, has over time been a mentor to both, but Alex Singenburger got up for 9th & had one little lead out guy, not been so scappy comming back to the field, Adrian Leeman looked in line for a top 10 also,so a very encouraging day for the Swiss.
